Sandra Sroka

Sandra Sroka has over forty years of administrative and program design and implementation experience in the health and disability fields both in the public and private sector. Prior to her semi-retirement, she served as the Americans with Disabilities Act Liaison for Hillsborough County where she was responsible for ensuring the County’s compliance with the federal ADA and other disability rights laws, as marketing director in the regional healthcare environment, an executive director of the Mental Health Association, and director of a federally funded state pilot program for the elderly. Currently, she works with adult artists with disabilities to create opportunities for access to the arts for and by people with disabilities.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Ms. Sroka has been a staunch advocate on behalf of persons with disabilities through her past leadership roles in local and statewide organizations including the Center for Independent Living, the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, Florida Alliance for Assistive Services & Technology, Champions for Children, the Tampa Mayor’s Alliance and Hillsborough County Alliance for Persons with Disabilities, the League of Women Voters, and the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts
